Just in case you haven't heard, we thought we should let you in on something more exciting than hitting one of those cute little Parisian flea markets. Well, maybe not. You see the company, which already operates the Anthropologie, Free People and Urban Outfitters brands, announced its newest retail concept. And it's nothing like you've ever seen before, no surprise here. Isn't this what we've come to expect of them? We absolutely love their ambition to bringing newness to retail shopping...and now, to our humble homes and gardens. Like Anthropologie, the targeted consumer is the 30 - 45 year old female (and male) shopper and perhaps, the one who coincidentally likes to splurge on all their uniquely cool furniture, tabletop and home decor merchandise.
Their "yet to be named" new development will be free-standing and quite sizable, more like 50,000 square feet in size, and include the likes of lifestyle home and garden products combined with antiques, live plants and flowers all under one roof. Ideal for the luxury customer with a green thumb...who we all know or want to be? We're certainly excited. As often as we scour stores for unique furnishings, it makes us sort of "giddy" to know that things will be properly edited and displayed in the appropriate eclectic "greenhouse" environment. And, if you know anything about Anthropologies current home decor assortment, these items don't come cheap. Be prepared to happily spend!
Once again, giving customers a slightly different experience by transferring hipster chic from garment to gardening. We give the new concept a proud "green" thumbs-up and anxiously await next years arrival into our cities...and our homes. We'll keep you posted!
