Luxury Online!

Luxury Online!

If your UPS man visits more often than your mailman or your FED EX guy recognizes you in a crowded coffee shop, chances are you’re happily shopping online. High-end goodies have come to the Internet, and we’ve found the five best places to point and click. From one of a kind cocktail rings and 500 thread count linens to crystal chandeliers and Rene Caovilla shoes, guiding yourself to cyber checkout has become an everyday shopping voyage for many.

No, you can’t just pick something out, buy it and slip-into-it within an hour. But you can browse online (for as long as you like), decide on a purchase (at your convenience), make the purchase and often (if you’re a repeat customer) get to enjoy a “free shipping” bonus. The web has spawned a shopper in which rarity and craftsmanship, the very essence of luxury, are all that matter.

So, we at The HOT Report searched the web in order to find the most luxurious resources for fashion apparel, accessories and home. And we have yet to stop clicking…

Net-a-Porter.com. Designed with the comfort of an online fashion magazine, this site is the “high-end, go to” shopping site for fashion, accessories and jewelry. Can’t find the most recent “it” bag, chances are it’s here…and so are many many more yummy “it” items. Fill up your virtual shopping bag and enjoy a movie all at the same time. This is one of our agreed upon favorites!

E-Luxury.com. Ouch! You expect nothing less than exceptional with a name like this…and they too deliver. The official and competitively priced e-commerce site for Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy (LVMH), eluxury is the premier online stop for the company’s much sought after labels (Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior and Jean Paul Gaultier, as well as many other outstanding brands). There are way too many to list, one must go and browse for herself. We will however tell you that you may never go into a store again!

Vivre.com. Luxury online is for the discriminating consumer. This website offers something for everyone (man, woman, child and their home), and makes gift giving a breeze. One of my most savored shopping vessels; vivre also offers a catalog of its newest assortment. Not that you’d ever pick up the phone and call when you could simply log-on and load-up your cyber-cart. Founder Eva Jeanbart-Lorenzotti travels the globe to bring together the likes of Roberto Cavalli and Oscar de la Renta, with those of lesser-known artisans and jewelers. Giving the site the feel of a petite yet worldly treasure trove.

Ralphlauren.com. According to Luxury Institute, a New York based ratings and research firm, Ralph Lauren’s site ranks among the wealthy’s favorite online shopping destinations, and we clearly understand why. Here is where you’ll find Ralph’s classic American fashion and home furnishings, but it’s the sites amalgam of content and product that we really adore. Go ahead and redecorate your entire world Ralph, home and tots alike!

Town & Country Travel. Yes, this would be sister to the eponymous Town and Country magazine. No listing of the web’s best luxury experiences would be complete without mentioning this site, whether you’re traveling to Miami, Mozambique or Maui. Their writers and editors have vetted every destination that they feature and best of all, you can make the trips a reality since the site links you to a travel agent who will work privately with you to plan and book your journey. Now, that my dear is what we consider luxury! townandcountrytravelmag.com.
